About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the MV-75 Digital Backbone, other Department of War programs, internal research and development projects, and Civil Platforms
  • Perform systems engineering development according to ARP4754, DO-178, and DO-254 across the full systems engineering lifecycle
  • Define system requirements and architecture for avionics-based systems using SysML v1 and v2 in Cameo
  • Integrate GE-developed components in a Systems Integration Lab
  • Automate tools and develop scripts in various languages
  • Support the Teamwork Cloud server and MBSE tools
  • Provide customer support for key systems engineering milestones and deliveries
  • Support MBSE research and development and continuous improvement of GE Avionics’ modeling and simulation approach
  • Manage and update program plans for systems engineering processes and adherence
  • Perform configuration management of model-based artifacts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance
  • U.S. citizenship status required
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Grand Rapids, MI or Clearwater, FL
  • At least 5 years’ experience with MBSE languages such as SysML or UML and tools such as Cameo or Rhapsody
  • At least 3 years’ experience with scripting languages such as Python, Java, VTL, or Groovy
  • Experience with lab integration and verification activities
  • Experience with Large Language Model usage
  • Knowledge of developing and maintaining a Product Line
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information, including U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, asylee, or refugee status
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
