About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct major cross functional campaigns and pursuits for the Electric Power business.
- Responsible for account ownership, delivering growth on key strategic priorities and financial metrics.
- Focus on traditional electrical power systems and LRUs, to include power generation, distribution, conversion, and integration.
- Provide sales & commercial excellence leadership for the Power Conversion & Controls business unit.
- Key customers accounts include military and civil aircraft OEMs, government organizations, and universities.
- Build influential relationships with assigned customers at all levels and develop strategies to win profitable business.
- Execute FLIGHT DECK, using standard work and daily management, developing capture and action plans to deliver growth wins for the Power business.
- Partner with product line team to support production volume, customer engagements, and prioritization of pursuits.
- Manage the development of numerous, complex, multi-million-dollar proposal efforts.
- Partner with Contracts & Product leadership in negotiations as needed to close deals.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, OR in lieu of a degree: a HS diploma/GED and 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent military experience/training.
- At least 8 years of experience in aerospace / defense industry business development, sales, marketing, commercial operations or program/account management.
- Must be willing to travel 25%-50% to meet job requirements.
