About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage accurate and timely payroll tax filing, reporting, and remittance across multiple jurisdictions
- Manage Strada and ADP vendor performance, enforcing accountability and providing leadership on high-priority payroll tax research and issue resolution
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and provincial payroll tax requirements in a complex, high-volume environment
- Research and resolve payroll tax notices, discrepancies, amendments, and agency inquiries with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Review and maintain payroll tax setup in systems such as Workday and ADP Smart Compliance to support accurate withholding and reporting and system configuration
- Support quarterly and year-end payroll tax activities, including reconciliations and required tax filings
- Monitor payroll tax law and regulatory changes and help implement updates to processes and systems as needed
- Partner closely with Payroll, HR, Finance, vendors, and tax agencies to resolve issues and support smooth payroll tax operations
- Assist with audits by preparing reconciliations, documentation, and payroll tax analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance employee experience
- Provide responsive support for employee and stakeholder payroll tax questions while delivering excellent customer service
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Payroll experience)
- Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise with payroll systems; Workday payroll experience strongly preferred
- 5 years experience working with external payroll vendors
