About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- OMLP is a 2-year development program consisting of: Three 8-months rotational assignments that allow members to have hands-on leadership experience and build supply chain technical & management skills across Avio Aero’s plants in Italy
- Global trainings to become proficient in lean operations & supply chain management
- Leadership & Personal Development coursework to develop leadership skills and build connections with GE Aerospace Development Program members throughout the world
- Collaborate with their Assignment Leader in setting and achieving realistic and challenging goals
- Plan and perform assigned tasks aligned to the business’s priorities and core tenets of safety, quality, inventory, and productivity (SQDC)
- Demonstrate ability to understand and apply operational and technical fundamentals in the business environment using analytical and problem-solving skills
- Develop cooperation and teamwork while leading diverse groups in the development and implementation of team goals
- Generate innovative ideas and apply change best practices to ensure impact of key initiatives
- Participate in Kaizen events and learn & apply lean with a focus on continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace, Mechanical, Energy, Materials Engineering from an accredited University or college
- Previous junior experience (e.g., co-op, intern), preferably in manufacturing/Global Supply Chain
- English and Italian fluency, written and verbal
- Geographic flexibility and global mindset with a willingness and ability to work in any of Avio Aero’s 5 manufacturing locations
- Knowledge of technical drawings
- Deep passion for aviation/aerospace plus strong commitment for a career in Global Supply Chain
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills coupled with the ability to connect with all levels of the organization showing openness, transparency & humility
- Strong curiosity to learn
- Able to own a/o coordinate many tasks concurrently with high execution & follow-through
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to breakdown the issues and formulate plans to address and rectify situations in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to solve problems and make meaningful change benefiting our customers, people, and organisation in a team/manufacturing environment
- Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required
