About the role
- Create and maintain a centralized defense market forecast and support the annual strategy review process through the creation of specific datasets
- Monitor and interpret government budgets, contracts, and funding priorities to assess potential business opportunities
- Conduct comprehensive market research within the defense sector, including Department of Defense (DoD) budget trends, emerging technologies, procurement trends, and policy changes
- Analyze adjacent markets to identify opportunities for GE Aerospace growth
- Develop reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to business strategy leaders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, and program management) to align market insights with business objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Business, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in market analysis, business strategy, or a related role, preferably within the defense or aerospace industry
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior leadership
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
