Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary set of engineers to analyze compressible flows in supersonic and hypersonic flight conditions
Lead and participate in high-fidelity computational analyses to guide design improvements in aerodynamics
Document and communicate assumptions, inputs and proposed solutions to multidisciplinary teams for review
Support validation of new designs and technologies through benchtop or larger-scale testing
Prepare presentations and slides to communicate ideas and/or progress on projects
Interact with industry partners and subcontractors to review aerodynamic analyses

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
3-5 years of aerodynamics analysis experience of supersonic flows
Strong understanding of engineering principles and applying them to technical tasks
Ability to investigate, model and provide critical insight into complex physical flow phenomena
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Skilled in CFD, preferably using Pointwise, iCFD++ and Tecplot
Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Be willing to work out of an office located in Bohemia, NY or Rockledge, FL
