About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform general maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance, and supporting centralized shop systems
Operate, maintain, and perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment
Complete assigned work orders for basic equipment repairs
Assist Machine Repairmen with projects and preventive maintenance tasks
Adhere to GE EHS and Security requirements
Perform shop clean-up, maintenance, and other support functions as directed

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of industrial maintenance or similar experience
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions
Experience in mechanical service and basic repair tasks
Understanding of facility and equipment technology
Ability to obtain and maintain fork truck and aerial lift certification as well as LOTO certification
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal instruction
Weekend work appreciated during shutdown events
