About the role
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials for production needs via Pull Consumption Logic, Schedule Smoothing, and level loading.
- Accelerate Lean improvements across forecasting, planning, scheduling, and sourcing; balance manufacturing load and optimize inventory.
- Open to remote consideration; cross-functional and high visibility within GE.
- Manage master planning, material processes and systems; prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.
- Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs; maximize schedule stability and reduce inventory.
- Develop and scale pull pilots; iterate improvements from learnings to future state design.
- Lead policy/strategy execution and create standard works; manage breakthroughs and countermeasures.
- Support organizational structure for Pull and level loading; collaborate across commodity value streams.
- Proactive problem solving with guidance; leverage on-the-job training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years materials, planning, sourcing or related supply chain experience) + minimum of 3 years materials, planning, sourcing or related supply chain experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
- Materials experience and demonstrated capability in reducing inventory and improving OTD.
- Highly collaborative person, comfortable with conflict and debate normally associated with change.
- Proven ability to work horizontally across GE and build/maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
