About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of a comprehensive security and risk management strategy for assigned businesses and sites.
- Oversee the full security posture for facilities, programs, and operations, including physical security, classified security, CUI protection, and personnel security.
- Partner closely with senior business executives, program management, engineering, IT, supply chain, quality, legal, and customers to ensure strong alignment and transparency on security risks and performance.
- Coordinate export control and ITAR-related security activities in conjunction with Export Compliance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. Government regulations, international regulations, and customer security requirements.
- Align security teams around common lean practices, standard work, unified processes, tools, and metrics, including KPIs and KRIs, in support of the Classified Security enterprise model.
- Support the development and management of security and risk budgets aligned with business growth, program milestones, and enterprise objectives.
- Serve as a key interface with U.S. Government security offices, civil aviation authorities where applicable, and customers to ensure alignment of security messaging and posture.
- Use sound judgment to make decisions on complex issues affecting the function and provide recommendations beyond established parameters when needed.
- Lead teams and projects, influence stakeholders, and help shape strategy and policy within the security function.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience; or a High School Diploma/GED with significant relevant experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in security, risk, or compliance supporting complex industrial, aerospace, defense, or high-tech programs.
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations and frameworks, including: NISPOM / 32 CFR Part 117, Export control regulations (ITAR/EAR), NIST cybersecurity frameworks, JSIG / RMF, Customer and aviation-related security requirements.
- Experience supporting U.S. Government classified programs and/or global regulatory environments is strongly preferred.
- Active security clearance is strongly preferred for roles supporting classified programs up to the TS/SCI level.
