About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and drive complex delivery, cost, capacity, and design issues with suppliers
  • Partner with Business Sourcing Leadership to develop Growth Playbook strategies
  • Identify opportunities to create competition by expanding global footprint
  • Act as the Manufacturing Engineering focal for assigned supplier base
  • Assess Lean and capacity capabilities at assigned suppliers and engage Systems FLIGHT DECK (Lean) teams to drive Cost projects
  • Provide manufacturing expertise across multiple related part families and processes
  • Proactively identify delivery barriers and resolve with Fulfilment, Commercial, and Quality teams
  • Manage projects for suppliers and collaborate with internal and external teams to implement solutions
  • Drive cost reduction efforts within assigned supply base

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED with at least 12 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Supply Chain
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Supply Chain
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with Suppliers
  • 15+ years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Supply Chain (desired)
  • 10+ years of experience in Sourcing, Shop Operations, and Production Control (desired)
  • 10+ years of experience in Aerospace and/or Automotive (desired)
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (desired)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
