About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership as a subject matter expert on new development projects
Lead programs in determining product certification strategy and certification basis
Lead compliance planning and determination of means of compliance
Interpret aircraft regulatory material and determine project impact
Audit project/product artifacts and verification activities to assess compliance with the certification basis
Champion minimum effort solutions for meeting civil compliance
Assess changes to approved/certified products to determine minor or major classification
Provide technical leadership and technical direction for assigned organizational responsibilities, programs, and personnel
Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Travel 10% or more (domestic and international).

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 10 years of experience with software development and/or hardware development and/or systems development
Minimum of 5 years of experience with RTCA/DO-254 and/or DO-178B/C and/or ARP4754A
This position requires U.S. citizenship status
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) preferred
10+ years of direct design experience with ASIC, FPGA, and CPLD technologies preferred
10+ years of experience with regulatory compliance related to RTCA/DO-254, DO-178B/C, and ARP4754A in safety-critical applications preferred
Direct DER and/or ODA unit member experience preferred
Strong oral and communications skills preferred
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and conflict resolution skills preferred
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization required.
