About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the proposal development process from pre-RFP release through post-submission phases
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of RFP requirements and develop compliant proposal outlines and schedules
- Manage proposal development activities including reviews, to ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals
- Co-Lead kick-off meetings and proposal planning sessions to establish clear objectives, responsibilities, and timelines
- Coordinate with technical subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and integration of technical and commercial solutions into proposal narratives
- Assign tasks to team members, monitor progress, and provide guidance to ensure adherence to proposal schedule and requirements
- Conduct regular proposal reviews and revisions, may be involved in negotiation with customers; ensure deals deliver shareholder value; drive competitive pricing
- Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services
- May lead functional teams or projects focused on driving use of Lean Flight Deck tools and continuous improvement across Deal Factory processes aimed at improving critical KPIs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- 3 years of experience in Sales and/or Proposals, both commercial and government competitive, OR 3 years of Experience in Program Management, Engineering Project management, Risk Management, Customer Account Management or Contract Management, within the Aviation or similar industry
- 1 year of experience with Lean practices and tools
- Ability to travel 15% of the time
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce, Oracle and export control is advantageous but not required
