About the role

  • Lead the proposal development process from pre-RFP release through post-submission phases
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of RFP requirements and develop compliant proposal outlines and schedules
  • Manage proposal development activities including reviews, to ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals
  • Co-Lead kick-off meetings and proposal planning sessions to establish clear objectives, responsibilities, and timelines
  • Coordinate with technical subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and integration of technical and commercial solutions into proposal narratives
  • Assign tasks to team members, monitor progress, and provide guidance to ensure adherence to proposal schedule and requirements
  • Conduct regular proposal reviews and revisions, may be involved in negotiation with customers; ensure deals deliver shareholder value; drive competitive pricing
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services
  • May lead functional teams or projects focused on driving use of Lean Flight Deck tools and continuous improvement across Deal Factory processes aimed at improving critical KPIs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • 3 years of experience in Sales and/or Proposals, both commercial and government competitive, OR 3 years of Experience in Program Management, Engineering Project management, Risk Management, Customer Account Management or Contract Management, within the Aviation or similar industry
  • 1 year of experience with Lean practices and tools
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce, Oracle and export control is advantageous but not required
