About the role

  • Manufacturing Engineering focal for assigned supplier base
  • Expected to own the technical performance of multiple suppliers so supplier travel will be frequent (25-50%)
  • Proactively identifies delivery barriers and resolves with fulfilment, commercial and quality team members
  • Is recognized as a critical team member by supplier or commodity
  • Acts as a Project Manager for large complex suppliers along with others
  • Guides and influences suppliers’ performance based on manufacturing expertise
  • Actively drives cost reduction efforts within assigned supply base and is proactively engaged in addressing cost issues
  • Supports source changes as needed and develops lower performing suppliers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Manufacturing)
  • At least 10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Production Management
  • Expertise in programming or mechanically supporting traditional and/or non-traditional machining methods
  • Manufacturing Experience in Aerospace or Automotive a plus
