About the role
- Manufacturing Engineering focal for assigned supplier base
- Expected to own the technical performance of multiple suppliers so supplier travel will be frequent (25-50%)
- Proactively identifies delivery barriers and resolves with fulfilment, commercial and quality team members
- Is recognized as a critical team member by supplier or commodity
- Acts as a Project Manager for large complex suppliers along with others
- Guides and influences suppliers’ performance based on manufacturing expertise
- Actively drives cost reduction efforts within assigned supply base and is proactively engaged in addressing cost issues
- Supports source changes as needed and develops lower performing suppliers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Manufacturing)
- At least 10 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Production Management
- Expertise in programming or mechanically supporting traditional and/or non-traditional machining methods
- Manufacturing Experience in Aerospace or Automotive a plus
