About the role

  • Lead the development and industrialization of composite components and assemblies for next-generation engine programs
  • Integrate and mature manufacturing processes across functions
  • Solve complex technical issues
  • Contribute to long-term planning and readiness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of manufacturing processes for composite hardware
  • Lead and provide technical direction to projects with critical business impact
  • Design and develop mold tooling
  • Provide technical guidance, direction, and mentorship to new engineers in function
  • Drive rigor for documentation of projects and lessons learned
  • Make recommendations after analysis of the data using quality tools
  • Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years (mechanical, aerospace, industrial, and engineering) experience + minimum of 5 years (mechanical, aerospace, industrial, and engineering) experience
  • Previous experience in composites manufacturing (i.e.: Braiding & Weaving technology, Ply shape development, Prepreg hand layup, Resin Injection Molding, Autoclave and/or press curing)
  • Experience operating within Quality Systems (Ex: AS9100, NADCAP)
  • Skilled in the use of CAD modeling software (Unigraphics preferred)
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
