About the role

  • Manage with high degree of autonomy the identification and consolidation of requirements for the Controls System by applying control theory and mathematical modeling
  • Be responsible for defining, developing and validating the architectural and functional concepts to implement the previously identified requirements on system and subsystem level
  • Master the control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors
  • Ensure and drive the adherence to GE’s development process including support for internal and external process audits
  • Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments
  • Lead the communication with the SW team in implementing the concepts in Software

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering field or other STEM disciplines with experience in Control System design
  • Previous experience in an equivalent engineering position
  • Extensive experience in system design in highly complex control systems in the industrial, automotive, medical, or aerospace sectors
  • Proven experience with system engineering principles, e.g. V-lifecycle process including requirements engineering, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and Model-based Design (MBD) methods, tools, validation & verification principles (keywords: DOORS, SCADE, Matlab\Simulink, Synergy, Python, NPSS, C++)
  • Understanding of engine and propeller controls principles
  • Documented exposure to the Regulation & Standard
  • Proven experience in multinational companies
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Work Visa and Italian citizenship, according to local regulation, is required.
