Oversee the strategic direction and execution of DT commodities for the GE Aerospace business
Develop and execute sourcing strategy for the categories in support of business outcomes and objectives
Lead a globally diverse team of DT Sourcing professionals
Drive process and policy simplification, governance and compliance
Lead challenging negotiations with the software industry
Create and deliver commercial, financial, and business objectives related to technology goods and services
Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies for GE Aviation regarding suppliers, pricing models & cost out initiatives
Identify cost out initiatives and influence stakeholders to implement them
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and the largest software companies and other vendors
Collaborate with appropriate finance, compliance, and legal subject matter experts to drive coordination for optimal execution of projects
Execute and support buying functions and participate in the buying desk activities

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum 5 years of experience in Digital Technologies Sourcing/Procurement and People Leadership/Development
Strong experience in software licensing and working with financial information as a means of decision making
Knowledge of information technologies and services, specifically cloud services and software as a service license models
Ability to influence and motivate cross functional teams to deliver and implement cost out initiatives
Strong communication skills
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Flexibility to accommodate global time zones
