About the role

  • Ensure deliveries consistently meet all customers’ quality and regulatory requirements and design preventive enhancement initiatives to incoming inspection processes and design control plans to ensure the quality of products and services
  • Manage non conform materials, assuring the correct customer evaluation of the non conform parts and work tightly with SQE, Engineering and suppliers to define robust root cause and corrective actions
  • RCCA implementations creating and promoting strategies to increase the quality and efficiency of systems and products
  • Monitor customer score cards and plan preventive actions against disruptions/MRB and QN caused by suppliers
  • Lead supplier incoming inspection plan strategies, readiness review and surveillance audits (at suppliers site if needed)
  • Lead APQP with SQE ensuring that PPAP are approved on-site when it is required, with supplied parts BE release, contributing to the closure of the VT
  • Defining Early containment action plans to guarantee that only conform parts are delivered to the internal plants
  • Handle daily shop issues related to supplied parts by identification & containment of non-compliances
  • Regular daily metric management of Supplier Quality KPIs (supplier disruptions to customers PDCA, losses/defects preventive initiatives, PQA risk mitigation, Audit findings RC&CA)
  • Lead with all the related stakeholders all problem-solving events to contain internal scraps and supplier escapes, find root cause and corrective action, make the risk assessment and standardize through the Lesson Learnt/FMEA
  • Active member of the Hoshin Kanri initiatives and lean development to strategic/critical suppliers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar field or Technical Diploma with relevant experience
  • Previous experience in Supplier Quality Management in manufacturing field
  • Mechanical aptitude (e.g. understanding of mechanical processes)
  • Strong background in GD&T
  • Knowledge of Quality tools (e.g. PDCA/A3, Ishikawa diagram/3x5L Why, SIPOC/Process Flow Diagram/Process Flow Chart, Production Control Plan/FMEA, APQP/PPAP, SPC/Run Charts, MSA…)
  • Fluent Italian and English
  • Conflict management skills: support and manage differences of opinion, use consensus and collaboration to debate and resolve issues
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
