About the role

  • Lead the full adoption of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, including Standard Work, Daily & Visual Management, Value Stream Management, Operating Cadences, and Hoshin Kanri
  • Advise and coach site leadership and teams on FLIGHT DECK principles
  • Utilize lean tools and methodologies to solve complex problems
  • Sensei/Coach gemba coaches to facilitate week-long kaizen events
  • Manage the training and development of extended manufacturing engineering team
  • Champion change across the organization
  • Interface effectively with OEMs, internal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Drive measurable improvements in SQDC performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years of lean manufacturing leadership experience
  • High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years of lean manufacturing leadership experience (alternative qualification)
  • 10+ years in manufacturing, engineering, quality improvement, program management, with 5+ years in lean/FLIGHT DECK or operations leadership utilizing lean methodologies
  • Proven ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement efficient solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills
  • Ability to manage diverse activities simultaneously and work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Humble: Respectful, receptive, agile, and eager to learn
  • Transparent: Shares critical information, speaks with candor, and contributes constructively
  • Focused: Strategically prioritizes work, quick learner, and committed to results
