About the role

  • Collaborate with product leader and business leads to understand new changes, including enhancements, new developments, and rollout initiatives; translate business requirements into functional and technical designs, solution roadmaps, and release plans.
  • Lead enhancements and changes in Sourcing and Purchasing domains, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the functional and technical architect for new enhancements and rollouts; handle the solution and design review, lead complex change design for Sourcing, iProcurement, Purchasing, and Inventory.
  • Work with vendor teams working on development in the purchasing area; enforce code and configuration quality and optimize delivery for value.
  • Act as Purchasing and Technical SME for production-critical issues; perform impact analysis, triage complex problems across modules, and drive root cause and corrective actions across EBS and integrated systems.
  • Play role of Architect for custom solutions/extensions, RICEFW objects, and integrations on top of Oracle EBS; maintain functional and technical design authority, documentation, and decision logs; ensure reusability and adherence to coding and security standards.
  • Learn and own custom products within the Source-to-Pay landscape that intersect with Shared Sourcing Services; ensure end-to-end process integrity, master data quality, and robust error handling.
  • Maintain integration between EBS and peripheral systems; ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, performance, and observability.
  • Partner with Operations to ensure smooth releases and stable run operations, including change control, patch impact reviews, regression strategy, and non-prod environment readiness.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and external regulations (e.g., SOX, SOD); design appropriate access models, approvals, and audit evidence.
  • Implement Flight Deck and Lean fundamentals to drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost; facilitate Kaizens, standard work, and visual management for Purchasing processes.
  • Demonstrate strategic, expert-level problem-solving skills; communicate complex functional and technical topics in clear business terms and navigate ambiguity with sound judgment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on Oracle EBS experience with focus on Sourcing, iProcurement, Purchasing, and Inventory; experience spanning both functional configuration and technical components.
  • Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay processes, including requisitions, sourcing, PO creation and approvals, receiving, invoice matching, and supplier management.
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle Purchasing-related setups, AOL, and integration touchpoints to AP, Inventory, and GL.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow, XML Publisher, and OAF; ability to guide code reviews and lead performance tuning.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with business stakeholders, product teams, and vendor resources to deliver complex enhancements and rollouts.
  • Willingness to work in platform-agnostic roles and learn adjacent tools where needed.
  • Familiarity with software design principles, SDLC/ITIL practices, documentation standards, and problem-solving techniques, including requirements breakdown, estimation, and risk management.
