About the role
- Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation
- Select suppliers through qualification processes
- Own supplier results and drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance and drive improvement plans
- Track metrics and work on quality improvement plans to address problem areas
- Review documentation and witness supplier practices to determine sound manufacturing and inspection principles
- Mentor suppliers in the application of quality tools & requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years Quality experience in a manufacturing site)
- Minimum of 3 years Quality experience in a manufacturing site
- Experience with either investment casting process or product engineering
- Knowledgeable about New Product Start-Up and APQP
- Established project management skills
- Background in supplier quality and supplier management
- Experience in airfoils or structural castings
- Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
