Responsible for architecting moderately complex avionic computer hardware systems that include both digital and analog components
Perform the design, simulation and verification of circuit card assemblies (CCA) and manage requirements
Prepare necessary documentation for product development and certifications
Testing and integration of circuit card assemblies installed in chassis
Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy
Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the business
Resolves issues that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures
Consult more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electric Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience)
This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent (desired)
Knowledge of board level digital design process from schematic capture, implementation, integration, and verification
Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise and Hyperlinx PI/SI
Familiarity with OrCAD PSPICE or LT Spice, Mathcad, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio
Strong professional technical writing and technical communication proficiency
Ability to break down complex problems and apply critical thinking
Must be fluent in English
