About the role

  • Responsible for architecting moderately complex avionic computer hardware systems that include both digital and analog components
  • Perform the design, simulation and verification of circuit card assemblies (CCA) and manage requirements
  • Prepare necessary documentation for product development and certifications
  • Testing and integration of circuit card assemblies installed in chassis
  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy
  • Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the business
  • Resolves issues that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures
  • Consult more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electric Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience)
  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent (desired)
  • Knowledge of board level digital design process from schematic capture, implementation, integration, and verification
  • Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise and Hyperlinx PI/SI
  • Familiarity with OrCAD PSPICE or LT Spice, Mathcad, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio
  • Strong professional technical writing and technical communication proficiency
  • Ability to break down complex problems and apply critical thinking
  • Must be fluent in English
