About the role
- Responsible for architecting moderately complex avionic computer hardware systems that include both digital and analog components
- Perform the design, simulation and verification of circuit card assemblies (CCA) and manage requirements
- Prepare necessary documentation for product development and certifications
- Testing and integration of circuit card assemblies installed in chassis
- Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy
- Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the business
- Resolves issues that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures
- Consult more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electric Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience)
- This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent (desired)
- Knowledge of board level digital design process from schematic capture, implementation, integration, and verification
- Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise and Hyperlinx PI/SI
- Familiarity with OrCAD PSPICE or LT Spice, Mathcad, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio
- Strong professional technical writing and technical communication proficiency
- Ability to break down complex problems and apply critical thinking
- Must be fluent in English
