About the role
- Support the Controls & Services commodity to drive the achievement of business outcomes
- Implement FLIGHT DECK principles and strong operation rhythms
- Deploy lean tools and continuously improve processes
- Influence and motivate team members
- Train, mentor and coach the team through problem solving
- Develop and execute communication plan for the commodity
- Drive daily/weekly/monthly KPI management for the commodity and sub-sections
- Review ongoing performance to targets and deploy corrective measures as necessary
- Use lean practices to improve effectiveness of interaction between commodity strategy and operations
- Interface and lead engagements with adjacent functions to provide coordination of metrics and dashboards
- Deploy process improvements within the commodity
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 4 years Commercial Operations, Sourcing/ Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain and/or Contract Management roles
- Analytical skills
- Ability to influence cross-functionally to drive change
- Ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute projects or improvements
- Experience with lean and operations
- Experience of leading matrix teams in a fast paced and complex environment
- Experience with direct people leadership
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate in teams to achieve results
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivator and possesses good communication skills to coordinate and resolve queries of both external and internal customers
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
- Established project management skills
