About the role
- Design, implement, and maintain network systems across the Building Supplies Division
- Troubleshoot network issues, analyse traffic, and provide capacity planning
- Resolve hardware and software problems
- Support end-users and assist with the Acumatica ERP system
- Oversee daily network and telecommunications operations
- Provide primary network and IT system support to users via various communication channels
- Support planning, implementation, monitoring, and documentation of network security
- Coordinate and assist with server and network maintenance schedules, repairs, and disaster recovery plans
- Monitor technology trends and emerging solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in diverse Information Technology environments, including LAN/WANs, operating systems such as Windows, UNIX, Linux, and open-source platforms, and firewalls.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.

- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Task-oriented and responds quickly to requests.
- Fast learner who is flexible and adaptable to change and new procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

- Collaborative team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments.
- Knowledge in the following areas will be considered an asset: LAN/WAN administration and experience with Cisco and Fortinet devices (firewalls and switches).
- Network+ or Cisco certification.
- Certified Ethical Hacker qualification.
- Proficiency in Windows environments and batch scripting (DOS).
- Administration of servers with Windows, Linux, and UNIX.
- Programming skills in C, CSS, Java, JavaScript, PHP, or Visual Basic.
- Database administration experience.
- Familiarity with SIP and VoIP technologies.
