Cloud Engineer

• Review and rationalize current Azure and AWS environments, identifying configuration drift, security gaps, and operational inconsistencies, and establish clear configuration standards across cloud accounts
• Introduce repeatable Infrastructure-as-Code patterns to ensure cloud resources are provisioned, versioned, and audited through automated workflows
• Strengthen CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment to reduce manual operations and increase release safety across both application services and ML workloads
• Establish consistent logging, metrics, and alerting practices across infrastructure and container workloads to improve operational visibility
• Audit and improve cloud security practices including IAM policies, secrets management, network segmentation, and operational access controls
• Evaluate current infrastructure architecture and introduce patterns that enable workloads to operate portably across both Azure and AWS environments
• Improve Kubernetes platform reliability by refining autoscaling policies, workload isolation, and cluster lifecycle management

Cloud Engineer – Platform & Infrastructure

Chief of Staff

• Collaborate directly with the CEO to advance the company's highest-priority initiatives and strategic objectives.
• Translate strategic mandates into structured, cross-functional execution plans.
• Manage complex, cross-functional projects encompassing product development, finance, operations, and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies.
• Establish internal operational rhythms, including planning cycles, Objective and Key Results (OKRs) development, and executive-level reporting.
• Develop analytical models and decision frameworks to inform company leadership.

Platform Engineer

• Own Architecture: Align backend, frontend, platform, and infrastructure decisions into a coherent, enterprise-grade architecture
• Reflect Excellence: Replace "firefighting" with predictable execution. You will lead the effort to retire scalability and reliability debt, safely upgrade critical infrastructure, and reduce single-threaded dependencies
• Set Direction: Set the standard for engineering technical hygiene. You will drive high-level decisions on testing strategies, validation guardrails, and system design concerns that directly impact delivery speed and maintainability
• Evolve Systems: Modernize and scale existing production systems by applying database-level strategies (schema evolution, replication tradeoffs) and platform primitives (orchestration, runtime constraints) as architectural tools

Full-stack Engineer

• Own major features or workflows end-to-end — including mission lifecycle, upload pipelines, and offline-first sync — with a focus on reliability and correctness in live deployments
• Debug and resolve complex iOS issues spanning state management, networking, concurrency, and hardware integration across the Modal and DJI app variants
• Improve app stability, performance, and logging quality to reduce iOS-side bugs in mission execution and edge cases

Senior Engineer, iOS

QA Engineer

• Execute hardware-software integration tests in the Pittsburgh lab, validating sensor behavior, firmware functionality, and end-to-end data flow from physical devices through the software stack
• Design and document repeatable test procedures for sensor integration and firmware validation across both the Drone and MHE Vision platforms
• Identify and classify defects at the hardware-software boundary — distinguishing hardware faults, firmware bugs, driver issues, and application software errors — and route clearly to engineering owners
• Build and maintain hardware-software integration test suites, including firmware validation, sensor calibration tests, and embedded release regression testing
• Contribute to cross-platform test infrastructure that serves both product lines and establish defect classification and routing processes
• Collaborate with systems engineers on integrated system tests and with the ML team on validating how sensor data feeds into perception pipelines

Hardware / Software QA Engineer

SDET

• Manually analyze large transaction datasets (100+ records) to extract ground truth, identify anomalies, mismatches, and edge cases, and validate system outputs against expected behavior
• Build and maintain regression test infrastructure, integrating new edge cases sourced from field deployments into the existing test suite
• Participate in integrated system tests in the Pittsburgh lab alongside systems engineers, executing test procedures and documenting results
• Perform first-level root cause analysis (RCA) on test failures and route issues clearly to the appropriate engineering owners
• Develop structured processes for collecting and cataloging field edge cases into repeatable test cases
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the test and validation pipeline through clear documentation, reporting, and collaboration with engineering leads

Test Engineer

Machine Learning Engineer

• Define and own the ML strategy and technical roadmap for Gather AI, aligned with product and business objectives
• Lead and grow the Machine Learning and FPT teams, establishing a culture of rigor, experimentation, and production-quality delivery
• Drive improvements to core computer vision models (object detection, segmentation, OCR) used across our drone and MHE Vision products
• Build out MLOps infrastructure — model training pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD for ML workloads
• Collaborate with the Director of Cloud Engineering and Director of Autonomy to ensure ML systems integrate seamlessly into the broader platform
• Partner with Product and Operations to translate customer needs into ML-driven product capabilities
