About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Seek out and drive new business opportunities with new-to-Gartner organizations across the assigned territory
- Conduct initial client outreach through close, targeting Large Enterprise organizations
- Convert viable prospects into active Gartner clients
- Own the full sales conversation and negotiation
- Transition new clients to the account management team
- Build a pipeline of high-quality opportunities and deliver against sales metrics and KPIs
- Manage quota responsibility for the assigned territory
- Manage complex, high-revenue sales across matrixed and diverse business environments
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and account planning
- Cultivate trust-based relationships with C-level executives
- Collaborate with account management teams to ensure an exceptional client experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of B2B sales experience
- Business development or new-client acquisition experience in a selling role highly desired
- Experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives
- Proven track record meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Proven ability to precisely manage and forecast a complex sales process
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Ability to manage complex, high-revenue sales across matrixed and diverse business environments
