About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create innovative, thought-provoking, highly leveraged “must-have insights” content
  • Develop insights and ideas through thought leadership and subject matter expertise
  • Offer compelling, actionable approaches to clients’ mission-critical priorities
  • Analyze client barriers and needs, identify root causes, and reframe thinking to drive strategy
  • Establish positions across a team of analysts and bring independent insights to Gartner leaders
  • Research, analyze, and predict market trends and shifts to inform technology strategy
  • Provide actionable advice to clients and prospects through virtual or face-to-face interactions
  • Create and deliver presentation materials for Gartner events, industry and professional association conferences, and client briefings
  • Provide sales support and serve as the voice of the market
  • Support Insights teams in creating content and driving client engagement
  • Conduct timely, high-quality peer reviews of content
  • Represent Gartner insights, methodology, and strategy as an industry expert
  • Participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions
  • Collaborate with peers in the Insights community and across teams
  • Identify research process improvements and develop new service-delivery processes
  • Mentor and coach more junior team members
  • Help clients engage regularly with Gartner insights and interactions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred
  • 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
  • Direct, hands-on leadership of enterprise-wide AI implementation projects across IT and business functions, including scaling from pilot to production
  • Experience advising C-Suite executives and senior business leaders on technology strategy and business process redesign in AI and emerging technologies
  • Strong technical understanding of emerging technologies, including agentic AI
  • Ability to evaluate emerging market signals and balance risk and opportunity in technology investments
  • Executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent research and writing ability
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
  • Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data and applying patterns and frameworks
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts concisely and simply
  • Subject matter expertise and comfort presenting at large- and small-scale speaking engagements
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a multicultural global environment
  • Learning agility and ability to navigate highly matrixed environments
  • Ability to represent Gartner’s research methodology and strategies effectively at all levels
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, where applicable
