Key responsibilities & impact
  • Track global market trends related to core industries, relevant vendors, emerging technologies, and best practices to advise CIOs and IT Executives
  • Build credibility as an AI and platform technology expert representing Gartner Business and Technology Insights
  • Participate in ideation, cohort discussions on technical topics affecting CIOs, emphasizing AI
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative studies for thought-provoking insights for C-level clients
  • Write evidence-based, easily consumed, defensible, actionable content
  • Deliver high-quality, actionable advice to CIOs, AI Leaders, and Technology Executives
  • Create and deliver presentations for webinars, executive briefings, and client-facing events
  • Deliver outstanding sales and service support to retain and grow the Gartner client base
  • Identify research process improvements or develop new processes for team excellence
  • Mentor and coach junior team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years’ experience working as an information technology executive in government, banking, manufacturing or health care industries
  • A deep technical background founded in IT department engineering discipline-based experience (e.g. platform engineer for AI, systems engineer, information security engineer, cloud engineer, solutions architect)
  • Experience helping organizations be AI ready—specifically, how to modernize data architecture and cloud compute power to sustain AI agent orchestration
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrate executive presence; can immediately establish credibility with executives and stakeholders
  • Learning agility and adeptness with navigating highly matrixed environments
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables
  • Strong communicator who can explain complex concepts concisely and simply.
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
  • Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data; can effectively apply patterns and frameworks while drawing and defending conclusions to client challenges
  • Ability to work independently, intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support the workflow of others in a multicultural global team
