About the role
- Use statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies, and extract meaningful insights to drive product requirements.
- Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis and create accurate/timely impact analysis.
- Identify KPIs and develop metrics to track and measure product performance.
- Identify, communicate, and assist with the efforts to resolve data gaps that impact the delivery of data products.
- Evaluate proposed technical solutions to ensure alignment with business needs and functional requirements.
- Collaborate across business and technical teams to create Technical Requirements, Functional Requirements, User Stories and User Acceptance Tests.
- Collaborate with QA teams in test plan creation and user acceptance testing validate delivered solution meets business expectations.
- Gain domain knowledge in relevant business areas, technical options/limitations and data sources/processes.
- Ensure quality through adherence to and supporting processes and procedures, including the maintenance of documentation on shared file systems.
- Provide support to other data analysts, product owners and project managers to help drive business initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative field.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Data Analyst in an analytics-driven environment.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL; understanding of data analysis tools and techniques; Python skills a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex datasets and generate meaningful insights.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, complex environment; demonstrates initiative and ownership without the need for close supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex data findings to stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Well versed in utilizing tools such MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio/Lucid Chart, JIRA, Confluence.
