About the role
- About the role: As a senior Energy and Utilities analyst, a deep knowledge of IT/OT in energy provisioning and utility sectors is critical; you will advise CIOs and senior management.
- What you will do: Analyze trends, produce research publications, lead thought leadership on OT/AI, provide insights on OT/IT developments, advise on vendor positioning, create scenarios to anticipate disruptions, support digitalization and AI initiatives for energy utilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred
- 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience
- Postgraduate degree in power engineering, computer science or related field
- Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality deliverables
- Excellent research and writing ability
- Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
- Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; can effectively apply patterns and frameworks while drawing and defending conclusions to client challenges
- Strong communicator who is able to explain complex concepts concisely and simply
- Subject matter expert comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within subject area as well as the interplay in that market
- Ability to work independently, while also being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support the workflow of others, in a multicultural global team
- Learning agile and adept with navigating highly matrixed environments
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%
- Energy and or Utility Senior management role (e.g. CIO/CTO), or a senior management position in a technology product or solution provider side (e.g. CEO/COO/CTO/GM/Managing partner)
- Demonstrable experience in positions that require a deep understanding of global energy and utility business-related operating models and global regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrable experience in roles requiring a deep understanding of a specific area of utility operations, such as the power system modeling and algorithms used to create a digital twin of the power system and optimize increasingly decentralized operations.
- Demonstrable experience in mastering software architecture patterns and links to Energy Utility operations
