About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with employee relations, investigations, disciplinary action, and onboarding
  • Serve as HR Business Partner to Project leadership
  • Provide human resources services, including records management, AA/EEO compliance, and completing personnel transactions
  • Maintain HR records and employee files in accordance with compliance regulations and policies
  • Work closely with payroll and other departments, exercising discretion while working with highly confidential information
  • Coordinate with HR leadership and Operations to troubleshoot and provide coaching and consultation in the areas of employee relations and performance management
  • Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending courses of action
  • Assist the workforce with identifying employee concerns, clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions and implementing selected solutions
  • Conduct voluntary and involuntary exit meetings in conjunction with Project Leadership
  • Handle assignments and support the Project as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience as HR Generalist
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources or related field
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g. Costpoint) preferred
  • PHR/SPHR Certified preferred
