About the role
- Actively shape the future of paper processing machines within the Research & Development department
- Integrate new concepts, sensors, motion controls and modern human-machine interfaces into machine control systems
- Test directly on our machines
- Design software architectures and select appropriate approaches for modular, maintainable and scalable solutions
- Develop tools and utilities — e.g., in Python or C# — that simplify development and commissioning processes
- Ensure smooth technical coordination and collaboration between R&D, process engineering and the software department
Requirements
- Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification
- Solid experience in PLC programming, preferably with Siemens TIA Portal
- Good knowledge of special-purpose machinery and industrial sensor and measurement technology
- Experience with high-level programming languages, software architectures and version control systems
- Enjoy diving deep into control systems, analyzing the interaction between physical systems and software, troubleshooting and ensuring optimal control performance.
