About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of retail leasing and commercial agreements for real estate initiatives, including, leases, lease amendments, and other related documents concerning rent audits, co-tenancy, construction, store maintenance, store operations, vendor services, and landlord/tenant disputes.
- Analyze lease materials to assess legal and reputational risk to support cross-functional business partners and brand initiatives.
- Perform legal due diligence and recommend practical, creative solutions that balance legal risk with business and/or operational impact.
- Build and maintain effective cross-functional partnerships.
- Problem solve and manage high impact leasing and property management matters and escalate issues as needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of retail leasing and commercial contracts experience in-house with a corporate legal department or at a law firm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead others in an ambiguous environment to achieve high levels of performance and deliver consistent results.
