About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Produce drawings, layouts as needed and offer technical solutions to the Vertical Transportation Design Team.
Generate various BIM deliverables to clients, including modeling and detailing for project documents for the project teams.
Assist project managers with model presentation for project teams and client meetings.
Complete Revit Project Setup.
Download, review, and understand design drawings and models to accurately design and coordinate vertical transportation designs.
Communicate design changes and issues with the Project Manager and the Design Team.
Responsible for assigned projects with the ability to meet deadlines, budgets, and prioritize assignments while maintain quality standards and accuracy.
Collaborate on multi-discipline, multi-company projects.
Provide layouts of vertical transportation including passenger and freight elevators - hydraulic and traction types, escalators, moving walks with supervision from the Technical Center Manager and Project Managers.
Ability to take direction and participate in quality reviews of work product.
Determine and document vertical transportation technical data such as dimensions, structural loading, electrical requirements, and equipment heat output.
Research elevator, building, and applicable codes.
Generate and improve on growing library of Revit families.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associates / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM/Revit, AutoCAD.
Experience in architectural and/or engineering drafting.
Familiarity with architectural, mechanical, and/or electrical engineering design.
The ability to read design blueprints.
BIM Tasks add family editing, expanded modeling skills, understanding of BIM Workflows and project setup.
Experience with Revit/CAD file integration into a project.
Adhere to project execution plans and workflow criteria.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam Revu.
Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes a plus.
Experience at a firm with an ISO 9001 Certified Quality Management System is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
