About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Produce drawings, layouts as needed and offer technical solutions to the Vertical Transportation Design Team.
- Generate various BIM deliverables to clients, including modeling and detailing for project documents for the project teams.
- Assist project managers with model presentation for project teams and client meetings.
- Complete Revit Project Setup.
- Download, review, and understand design drawings and models to accurately design and coordinate vertical transportation designs.
- Communicate design changes and issues with the Project Manager and the Design Team.
- Responsible for assigned projects with the ability to meet deadlines, budgets, and prioritize assignments while maintain quality standards and accuracy.
- Collaborate on multi-discipline, multi-company projects.
- Provide layouts of vertical transportation including passenger and freight elevators - hydraulic and traction types, escalators, moving walks with supervision from the Technical Center Manager and Project Managers.
- Ability to take direction and participate in quality reviews of work product.
- Determine and document vertical transportation technical data such as dimensions, structural loading, electrical requirements, and equipment heat output.
- Research elevator, building, and applicable codes.
- Generate and improve on growing library of Revit families.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM/Revit, AutoCAD.
- Experience in architectural and/or engineering drafting.
- Familiarity with architectural, mechanical, and/or electrical engineering design.
- The ability to read design blueprints.
- BIM Tasks add family editing, expanded modeling skills, understanding of BIM Workflows and project setup.
- Experience with Revit/CAD file integration into a project.
- Adhere to project execution plans and workflow criteria.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam Revu.
- Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes a plus.
- Experience at a firm with an ISO 9001 Certified Quality Management System is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
