About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee key general accounting functions, including accounts receivable, sales invoicing, revenue recognition, royalties, and cost of sales
  • Lead the transactional month-end close process, including reviewing and approving journal entries
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Take ownership of revenue accounting and sales invoicing, ensuring revenues and cost of sales are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting standards
  • Review month-end financial results, identify discrepancies, and recommend or implement necessary corrections
  • Prepare and review variance analyses for profit and loss accounts, providing meaningful insights into financial performance
  • Ensure accounting processes and procedures are consistently followed and remain compliant with company policies and accounting standards
  • Support quarterly reviews, year-end financial audits, and annual internal control audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests
  • Partner closely with the Client Success, Sales, and Development teams to support business operations and provide financial guidance
  • Evaluate existing accounting processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls
  • Collaborate with shared services teams and cross-functional stakeholders to improve reporting and streamline financial operations
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Qualified accountant with 5+ years of general accounting experience in an international or multinational organization
  • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, U.S. GAAP, and ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Extensive experience managing the month-end close process, including journal entry review and approval
  • Proven experience driving process improvements and implementing operational efficiencies
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and able to take ownership of projects and deliverables
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to quickly build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively across diverse teams and corporate cultures.
