About the role
- You take product ownership of our Frontend Game Engine — the technological platform for all our games.
- You develop the engine roadmap and own the backlog to ensure we deliver the right features at the right time.
- You manage the engine throughout its entire lifecycle — from maintaining and modernizing existing systems to developing innovative new features.
- You define clear goals and drive the development process from concept through implementation to product release.
- You orchestrate technical dependencies between the Engine team, Game teams, and Platform teams, ensuring smooth technical integration of the engine and new features into the games.
- You define UX/UI standards for recurring engine elements and ensure these are consistent and user-friendly across all games.
- You validate features using prototypes to test feasibility and performance early on.
Requirements
- You hold a degree in Computer Science, Game Design, Mathematics, or a comparable qualification.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in technical Product Management, ideally in the gaming industry.
- You have a proven track record in developing technical products — from concept and MVP to stable, production-ready releases.
- You possess a deep technical understanding of game engines and software engineering practices and can communicate effectively with developers on a technical level.
- You are skilled in stakeholder management and can explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- You work AI-first and actively use modern AI tools (e.g., for productivity, prototyping, data analysis, and automated workflows).
- You are data-driven, comfortable working with product metrics, and use them systematically for product decisions and continuous improvement.
- Ideally, you have experience in highly regulated industries and can translate regulatory requirements into technical product decisions.
- You work in a structured, independent, and hands-on manner — you take action rather than just coordinate.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding German and English language skills (C1).
- You are strong in communication and empathetic when interacting with different personalities.
- You demonstrate a high degree of self-organization and self-reflection for working within a hybrid, collaborative working model.
- You have a can-do mentality and are passionate about driving things forward.
