About the role

Develop new games based on our existing game engine.
Take technical ownership for complex features, including technical design, implementation, and reliable delivery.
Implement game mechanics, animations, UI elements, and interactions in TypeScript with PixiJS with a focus on performance.
Optimize rendering and performance (e.g. draw calls, asset handling, loading times).
Strengthen engineering standards within the team through high-quality code reviews.
Support colleagues through pairing, mentoring, and technical sessions.

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
At least 6 years of professional software development experience — ideally in game development or modern web front-ends.
Excellent command of TypeScript.
Practical experience with PixiJS is a plus.
Structured approach to analysing and solving rendering and performance issues.
Clean architecture and transparent communication of technical trade-offs to the team and stakeholders.
Proficient in using AI-assisted tools.
Experienced in debugging and profiling.
Strong quality mindset and application of engineering practices such as code reviews, pair programming, and clean code.
Very good German skills (at least C1) and good English skills, spoken and written.
Strong communication skills and empathy when collaborating with diverse personalities.
Highly self-organized and self-reflective in hybrid working models.
Can-do attitude.
