About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

- **Team Leadership & Management:** Lead, mentor, and "follow through" on the professional development of backend engineers. Conduct regular 1:1s and foster a high-performance culture.
- **Operational Excellence:** Organize the team's day-to-day workflow, manage sprint priorities, and ensure the roadmap is executed on time.
- **Technical Knowledgement:** Provide expert guidance on **.NET Core** and **Microservices** architecture. Ensure the team follows best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
- **Problem Solving:** Proactively identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and architectural issues. You are expected to not just find problems, but to own the strategy to fix them.
- **Domain Alignment:** Leverage your experience in the **Gaming/Sportsbook** industry to build features that handle high concurrency, real-time data processing, and complex betting logic.

Requirements

What you’ll need

- **Proven Leadership:** +3 years of experience managing engineering teams, ideally in fast-paced or scale-up environments.
- **Expert .NET Knowledge:** Strong command of **C#, .NET 6/8+**, and the surrounding ecosystem.
- **Microservices Mastery:** Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining distributed systems and event-driven architectures (using tools like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or gRPC).
- **Industry Experience:** Previous experience in **Sportsbooks, Casinos, or the Gaming industry** is highly preferred (understanding odds, risk management, or high-volume transactional systems).
- **Operational Follow-up:** Demonstrated ability to track tasks from inception to production, ensuring "definition of done" is strictly met.
