About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Operate and maintain lathe and milling machines, ensuring precise production by reviewing blueprints and taking accurate measurements.
Select appropriate machines, plan tasks, and monitor production making necessary adjustments.
Maintain a clean workstation, oversee multiple CNC machines, and handle complex tasks.
Monitor the machine or machines during a production run to ensure properly produced parts.
Inspect dimensions and features of the machined part while keeping the CNC machine running at an optimal pace for production requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize machining processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

1+ years of experience setting up and operating Turn-Mill in a manufacturing environment.
Problem-solving skills to detect issues in the creation process and find solutions to ensure the machinery creates the product provided in the engineering drawing.
Industry knowledge of lathe and milling systems.
Execute precise alignment measurements of all machine axes utilizing indicators and probes.
Highly developed attention to detail.
Highly developed concentration and precision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Problem-solving skills.
Light programming experience.
Proficient in manual machining, lathe operations, CNC saw operations, iron work, and other essential shop skills.
