About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in the organization of the daily work of one or more manufacturing cells.
- Support other manufacturing support operations such as purchasing, inventory management, and ERP management.
- Close work orders ensuring all material and labor allocations have been fulfilled when compared to the planned requirements.
- Communicate shortages and discrepancies to the Supply Chain Manager and assist with correcting said discrepancies.
- Use the company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to assist with the creation and release work orders based on forecasted and actual demand.
- Lead or assist in regularly scheduled cycle counts.
- Pull, allocate, and issue material requirements for kits and customer shipments.
- Input production performance parameters into the ERP software.
- Perform administrative work related to closing and storing production work orders IAW company policies.
- Review raw material, work in progress (WIP), and finished good inventory as needed to support production planning processes.
- Develop and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) related to these key responsibilities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years’ experience in a production planning role in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and decipher engineering blueprints and specifications.
- Experience using an ERP software.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience manipulating data in relevant software such as Excel.
- High intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial, creative thinker and problem-solver, fast learner, with demonstrated initiative.
- High level of maturity and ability to work in a team setting or independently.
- Willing to roll up your sleeves to help drive results.
- Unquestionable ethics and personal integrity.
