About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the higher-velocity end of the GalileoX partnerships pipeline
- Drive new partnerships with community-based organizations, charter networks, and small-to-mid-size school districts
- Run consultative discovery and diagnose staff capacity, instructor confidence, and curriculum gaps
- Develop customized solution proposals aligned with district and community systems
- Carry and execute against a new-business revenue target
- Close multi-stakeholder deals with education and finance decision-makers
- Align proposals to public education funding cycles including ELO-P, ASES, 21st CCLC, and Title I
- Self-source a significant share of the pipeline through outbound prospecting
- Qualify inbound leads and SDR referrals
- Map and target K-12 districts, charter management organizations, and CBOs in California and expansion territories
- Represent GalileoX at afterschool, expanded learning, and SLED conferences and convenings
- Identify enterprise-scale opportunities and hand them off to executive sales leadership
- Complete onboarding and independently own end-to-end sales conversations within the first month
- Pressure-test pitch messaging and document objection-handling insights for the sales playbook
- Extract lessons from customer interactions to improve go-to-market strategy
- Adapt sales approach to diverse stakeholders and regional markets
- Maintain accurate CRM data, stage hygiene, next steps, and close dates
- Forecast credibly, communicate pipeline risks, and document complex multi-site deals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Inspired by Galileo's mission and eager to participate in a professional, welcoming, camp-inspired culture
- 3–7 years of full-cycle, quota-carrying closing experience in customer-facing, revenue-driving sales roles
- Demonstrated track record of hitting sales targets
- Expertise selling within K-12 Education, SLED, charter networks, or community-based educational organizations
- Strong knowledge of public school system operations, district administrative structures, board approvals, RFPs, and public education funding streams
- Proven ability to self-source sales pipeline and manage high-velocity deal cycles
- Strong consultative selling skills, including deep discovery, diagnosis of customer pain points, and early disqualification when appropriate
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and co-creating sales processes
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to persuade diverse audiences and explain complex educational solutions simply
- Proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline data management
- Willingness to travel 5–10%, with possible 10–15% travel for staff outside a camp territory
- May be required during onboarding to complete TB screening, background checks, and state-mandated training
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to operate a computer, including typing and reading
- Ability to see, hear, and speak nearby and at a distance
- Ability to use hands and fingers for classroom supplies and equipment
- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and sitting
