About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate and maintain packaging equipment
- Ensure products are packed efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards
- Work safely at all times and follow safety protocols
- Maintain workstation and equipment cleanliness, organization, and order
- Operate multiple production lines, either manual or automated
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Complete and maintain accurate task-related documentation
- Use a computerized production management system (MES, such as POMS)
- Participate in manual cleaning of the workstation and feed lines to prevent cross-contamination
- Notify the supervisor of any unusual situations or deviations from procedures
- Adhere to hygiene standards to prevent microbiological contamination
- Ensure production quality and supervise/support line support personnel
- Record production times and meet standard timelines
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the workstation and processes
- Collaborate with support departments (Warehouse, QA, Validation, Safety, etc.)
- Support the cleaning of equipment and accessories in the washroom/cleaning area
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma
- Basic knowledge of electronics and/or mechanics is an asset
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in pharmaceutical, food, or chemical manufacturing environments
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with production systems (MES)
