About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop the HR Operations and Payroll team
- Oversee core HR processes (onboarding, offboarding, data management)
- Standardize and document HR workflows
- Manage U.S. payroll operations
- Drive payroll process improvements, automation, reporting enhancements
- Oversee outsourced payroll providers
- Lead Workday process implementation
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations
- Lead strategic HR and payroll projects
- Develop and maintain reporting and analytics for payroll, HR metrics, and service performance insights
- Manage Workday end-user support and the HR help desk
- Strengthen internal controls, reconciliations, and cross-functional audits
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR operations, payroll management, and shared services roles
- Proven experience leading HR Operations in a scaling or evolving environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, including tax compliance requirements
- Experience with managing internal teams as well as outsourced managed services teams
- Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean
- Demonstrated expertise in HR systems and implementations
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong experience in transformation/change management in a multi country/cultural environment
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a matrixed environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French is ideal, Spanish highly desirable, and any other language is a strong plus.
