Design, implement, and maintain large-scale Linux infrastructure, including servers, clusters, and cloud environments
Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack to streamline system provisioning, configuration, and deployment
Configure and manage network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls, using various protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLANs)
Ensure security compliance by implementing and maintaining security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues
Monitor system performance, capacity, and security using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack
Develop and maintain documentation on system architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures
Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure issues
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and emerging threats, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our infrastructure and security posture
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Linux system administration, with a focus on automation and network configuration
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
Proficiency in one or more automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack)
Experience with network configuration and management, including protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs) and devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
Understanding of security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management
Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Perl
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN)
