About the role
- Drive corporate strategy including mapping and prioritization of key areas for M&A, licensing, and partnerships
- Build and maintain landscape overviews for disease areas and mechanisms of action in oncology and immunology
- Work closely with executive leadership to define strategic priorities for pipeline expansion (TA, Phase, Geo)
- Develop dynamic portfolio models assessing technical, regulatory, commercial risks and strategic fit
- Engage as a member of diligence teams to align emerging opportunities with corporate strategic vision
- Generate market intelligence and data-informed views on industry trends and competitor moves
- Develop external scenarios to pressure-test recommendations and ensure portfolio resilience
- Shape agendas and craft materials for Management Committee, CEO, and Board of Directors; synthesize complex data into executive presentations
Requirements
- 10-15+ years of experience in biopharma strategy, corporate development, or strategy consulting
- Strong track record of engagement in pipeline-enhancing transactions
- Deep understanding of drug development and commercial dynamics in the biopharma industry
- Experience in portfolio modeling and scenario planning
- Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership and boards
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Advanced degree preferred (MBA, PhD, MD, or equivalent)
