About the role
- Conduct comprehensive accessibility assessments across websites, mobile applications, and digital documents, checking for compliance with recognized guidelines and legal requirements.
- Document assessment findings in clear, understandable formats and provide actionable remediation recommendations.
- Lead client presentations to communicate assessment results, answer client queries, and propose solutions.
- Oversee accessibility projects and provide technical oversight to ensure quality and best practices across deliverables.
- Collaborate with clients during remediation, offering co-working, guidance, and advisory support.
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and live consultations on accessibility topics.
- Engage with the User Research team to conduct usability testing with users who have access needs.
- Assist in client engagement and sales efforts by advising on project scope and resource estimation related to accessibility work.
- Contribute to internal resources and documentation, including coding examples and training materials.
- Share expertise through writing blog posts, creating webinars, or speaking at events.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and familiarity with the European Accessibility Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Detailed knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA.
- Skilled in conducting high-detail accessibility assessments using assistive technologies including screen readers and voice recognition software.
- Effective communication skills, proficient in articulating accessibility concepts verbally and in writing.
- Optional: Knowledge of mobile development on Android and iOS, including frameworks like Flutter and React Native.
- Optional: Experience delivering training and conducting workshops successfully.
