About the role
- Demonstrate a strong and developing skill set of both front-end and backend technologies.
- Write clean native ES6+ JavaScript code, with understanding of 3rd party libraries.
- Strong skills in CSS and Sass, responsive layout, grid/flexbox, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Identify and address issues affecting Core Web Vitals.
- Build React components using hooks and state management.
- Configure/setup build tools i.e. Webpack, ViteJS.
- Integrate frontend applications using modern request methods and libraries such as Fetch & Axios.
- Understand WordPress CMS data structure, including Custom Post Types, Taxonomies, and Plugin ecosystem.
- Design and build extensible APIs/integrations in OO-PHP.
- Maintain supporting documentation and reference 3rd party dependencies.
- Strong understanding of MySQL and WordPress database queries.
Requirements
- 3+ years working as a WordPress developer in an agency environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Flexible approach with the ability to remain calm and perform well under pressure.
- Personable, and able to work effectively with a variety of different people at all levels.
- The ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Able to solve problems and make effective and timely decisions based on the knowledge available.
