About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Learn survey terminology and references
Equipment calibration techniques
Conduct measurements required for technical survey work
Set up tripods and other basic equipment
Apply theory and principles of surveying to modify, test, and operate survey equipment
Work both in office environments and in the field
Handle basic issues and problems referring complex issues to higher-level staff
Produce tabulated data, prepare field notes, and sketches
Possess strong organizational skills
Follow all safety policies and requirements and wear proper PPE
Travel will be up to 75% - up to 3 weeks out of the month

Requirements

What you’ll need

H.S. Graduate
Driver’s License required
Capable of learning survey nomenclature
Ability to set up tri-pods
Basic equipment usage
Usage and care of delicate and expensive equipment
Learn the basics of equipment calibration
Must have a steady hand for proper measurements
Must be able to occasionally work at heights in certain environmental conditions
Must wade through water; ride in a boat; swimming skills preferred
Ability to safely use hand tools
