About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct stormwater and other regulated waters compliance monitoring field assessments including erosion and sediment control inspection
Assist in the compilation of data and preparation of weekly reports and permitting documents as directed by Task Managers and Project Managers
Complete construction inspections, erosion control monitoring, and environmental marking and staking
Assist with field data collection and wetland delineations
Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime
Receive technical training for career enhancement
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Ecology, Engineering, Biology, or Environmental Science; advanced degree a plus.
3-4 years of experience commensurate with environmental consulting practices with a background in environmental science, ecology, or construction inspection services.
Advanced technical writing ability.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills a must.
Travel within Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky is a requirement and extended field assignments are likely.
Technical knowledge of natural resources and field assessment methods.
Knowledge and experience with erosion and sedimentation control monitoring and construction inspections on linear projects is preferred.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
A current Driver's License is required.
