About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct stormwater and other regulated waters compliance monitoring field assessments including erosion and sediment control inspection
  • Assist in the compilation of data and preparation of weekly reports and permitting documents as directed by Task Managers and Project Managers
  • Complete construction inspections, erosion control monitoring, and environmental marking and staking
  • Assist with field data collection and wetland delineations
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime
  • Receive technical training for career enhancement
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Ecology, Engineering, Biology, or Environmental Science; advanced degree a plus.
  • 3-4 years of experience commensurate with environmental consulting practices with a background in environmental science, ecology, or construction inspection services.
  • Advanced technical writing ability.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills a must.
  • Travel within Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky is a requirement and extended field assignments are likely.
  • Technical knowledge of natural resources and field assessment methods.
  • Knowledge and experience with erosion and sedimentation control monitoring and construction inspections on linear projects is preferred.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • A current Driver's License is required.
