Key responsibilities & impact

Developing, implementing, and supporting corporate safety programs to ensure compliance throughout GAF.
Directing strategy and overseeing execution of safety and corporate EHS initiatives.
Designing, developing, and managing effective EHS learning solutions and training instruments.
Establishing organizational goals based on gap analysis and developing projects to achieve them.
Evaluating effectiveness of initiatives through safety assessments and interpreting data.
Fostering an atmosphere of openness and information sharing to encourage a safety culture.
Promoting employee awareness of safety requirements through training and continual communication.
Leading compliance audits and assessments of operations for conformance to GAF policy.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Safety, Engineering, or related degree field.
Post graduate degree preferred.
10 years EHS experience, 5 years management of others required.
Ability to effectively adapt to changing needs and priorities with a client success focus.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships and trust with stakeholders.
Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, listening, and presentation skills.
Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite Office.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
