About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Developing, implementing, and supporting corporate safety programs to ensure compliance throughout GAF.
  • Directing strategy and overseeing execution of safety and corporate EHS initiatives.
  • Designing, developing, and managing effective EHS learning solutions and training instruments.
  • Establishing organizational goals based on gap analysis and developing projects to achieve them.
  • Evaluating effectiveness of initiatives through safety assessments and interpreting data.
  • Fostering an atmosphere of openness and information sharing to encourage a safety culture.
  • Promoting employee awareness of safety requirements through training and continual communication.
  • Leading compliance audits and assessments of operations for conformance to GAF policy.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Safety, Engineering, or related degree field.
  • Post graduate degree preferred.
  • 10 years EHS experience, 5 years management of others required.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to changing needs and priorities with a client success focus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships and trust with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite Office.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
