About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify opportunities, generate leads, and deepen the customer network in the Commercial Roof Coatings industry.
- Influence key decision makers in the commercial construction process.
- Manage, track and distribute significant projects to increase sales opportunities for our customer base.
- Drive demand at the distribution level through training events and showroom displays.
- Build relationships at all levels of distribution and with the current Preferred Contractor base.
- Identify gaps in the market and target contractors for conversion.
- Train contractors on and off the roof when appropriate and support them with roof evaluations and project-specific specifications.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum HS Diploma with at least 5 years of demonstrated commercial sales experience in a building materials environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred with at least 5 years of demonstrated commercial sales experience in a building materials environment.
- Specification Sales experience of 5+ years.
- Industry experience and insights related to commercial construction, building materials, hardscapes and liquid applied systems is a must.
- Advanced communication and organizational capabilities required.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills required.
- Proficient use of commercial construction databases such as Dodge Analytics and Salesforce CRM tools.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
